Creating Spend Profiles
Individual monetary controls are managed within Spend Profiles. You can create Spend Profiles under the Spend Limits menu in the Controls area. Just click “Add Spend Profile” to get started.
There you will be prompted to give your Spend Profile a name and enter individual limits for a specific timeframe. By default the spend timeframe is set to monthly meaning that monetary controls reset at the beginning of each month. You can choose daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.
The individual limits you can add are the following:
Individual limit amount: this is the maximum amount a user is authorized to request over the selected timeframe.
Max number of requests: this is the maximum number of requests a user is authorized to make over the selected time frame. It includes top ups.
Max amount per request: this is the maximum amount for a user request.
For companies that wish to configure category based allowance, they can further break down a spend profile spending limit into categories.
To do so, card administrators can click on “Add category” and start configuring category based limits for allowance cards.
To configure allowances the card administrator starts by selecting a category and then sets values for a specific timeframe:
Maximum amount per request
Maximum number of requests
For categories with a unit of measure, a maximum number of units can also be added. In these cases the admin can determine whether it wants to strictly control the amount per unit and the number of units or whether it prefers to control the total amount. If the latter, the admin should enable “control total”.
