Creating Budgets


Budgets are team level monetary controls. Admins can create budgets by team by category. Similarly to spend limits, budgets are set by time periods. Admins can define the way they wish budgets to be controlled: daily, weekly, monthly, annually. 

To start creating a budget admins click on the Budgets tab within the Spend Limit menu under Controls.

Pick the team for which you want to create a budget and pick the year for which you want to create that budget.

Then pick a category to start entering budgets. If you wish to enter a budget at an aggregate level, best practice is to pick an “Other” category. To learn more about categories click here.


Once you are done, save your budget and repeat by team if you wish to control spending commitments at the team level.
