Automatically Issued Cards from User Requests

BlueBean allows employees who are BlueBean users to request cards via its browser’s extension.

To request a card users can navigate to any page on their browser (except google.com that does not permit usage of extensions) and open the browser extension by clicking on the BlueBean icon in the navigator address bar or by clicking on its twin on the right hand side of the screen.  BlueBean will also automatically pop up at online check out where users can request a card.

By default, BlueBean will open the “My Cards” page on the extension where you can request a virtual card.

By hitting the “request a card” button, users can request the same one time and multi-use cards that card managers can manually issue but without the card manager intervention.

After the request is approved automatically users will be greeted with a message on the same screen that allows them to create the card or cancel their request. By clicking on create card the card will appear on the screen and become available on their “active cards” drop down.

Users will be prompted with reasons and a justification screen if their card request requires manual approval. They have to enter a justification and can also attach screenshots or a file to justify their request that will have to be approved by one or multiple approvers.

By submitting their justification users will be able to follow their requests under the request menu and monitor their status. They will be notified if the request is rejected or approved.

Once approved the request will present a “Go to card and create card” button that will allow the user to go back to their cart and create a card to complete the purchase.

Note that every approved request has an expiration date after which a new request will be required. If the approved card request expires it will be marked as such and a “re-request card” button will be available, possibly triggering the same workflow.
