Approving A Card Request
Users on BlueBean can receive a card either from the Card Administrator that issues a card manually to a user or they can receive a card automatically after a request for a card has been approved.
While manual card issuance by the card administrator is not subject to an approval, automatic card issuances are. Approvals can be automatic or manual. What determines whether a card gets automatically approved or requires a human intervention are the configured controls and the approval workflow.
To learn more about the approval workflow click here.
A request for a card that meets all the conditions set in the approval workflow will be automatically approved by the system. The user will be notified in real time that its card request has been approved and can generate the card by clicking on “generate card” in its browser extension.
Users that request cards that fall outside the conditions set in the controls will be notified of the reasons for a manual approval. At that stage a user can decide to cancel their request or provide a written justification with an optional screenshot to be submitted for approval.
The request with justification will be channeled to one or more approvers that will be notified to act. Notifications are sent by email, in the browser extension as well as through push notifications for mobile.
The request accessible to the requester and the next in line approver contains the details of the request including the justification on the main view, as well as a history tab with all the approvers in line to act on the request.
Approvers can simply click on the notification wherever they are, review the card request and decide to approve or reject the request.
When a request is approved or rejected the user will be notified of it and a reason will be provided in case of rejection.
